Our natural lovage leaf essential oil for aromatherapy is obtained from the plant with the botanical name Levisticum Officinale. In international practice the product is designated as Lovage leaf natural essential oil for aromatherapy. The plant belongs to the botanical family Apiaceae, which unites perennial herbaceous species, and its representatives owe their characteristic odour to phthalide compounds. The species in the family develop divided dark green leaves similar to celery. The leaves provide the entire raw material for the oil, and the plantations from which they are collected grow in Bulgaria. Bulgaria offers suitable soil and climatic conditions for the natural cultivation of the crop, on which the natural purity of the final composition directly depends. The purity is seen first of all in the colour of the liquid. The yellow-green shade comes precisely from the green tissue of the leaves used in the extraction.
